IRSDC opens Aquatic Kingdom tunnel at KSR station in Bengaluru

Karnataka, July 1 (IANS): With the aim of providing a memorable experience for passengers and making their waiting time at the station pleasant, the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Ltd (IRSDC) in collaboration with HNi Aquatic Kingdom opened the first water tunnel aquarium soft mobile railways at KSR Bengaluru station for general public.
According to IRSDC, this is a one-of-a-kind water park based on the concept of the Amazon River. It promises to be a visual treat and a pleasure for the passengers.
IRSDC in a statement said the initiative would be a source of revenue for Indian railways. He further stated that a nominal entry fee of Rs 25 has been maintained per passenger.
SK Lohia, Director General and CEO of IRSDC, said: âIRSDC has always been at the forefront of launching innovative initiatives. facilities management initiatives; in which even the waiting time will become a pleasant experience for passengers and visitors rather than being mundane. “
He said that this aquatic kingdom will appeal to passengers and visitors and that it will not only be an enjoyable, but also educational experience to discover a life-size fish kingdom here. “Even following strict COVID protocols, up to 25 visitors can visit the aquarium at a time.” he said.
IRSDC said the 12-foot-long aquatic kingdom is the Indian Railway’s first paludarium home to a myriad of flora and fauna. The entrance to the Aquatic Kingdom provides a glimpse of marine life, with a magnificent dolphin humbly greeting visitors with a slight bow and a smile.
The few main features of Aquatic Kingdom are – a 3D selfie area, where a big fish will come out of the aquarium. Second, with nearly 20 feet of glass periphery, the HNi Aquatic Kingdom is also home to planted, marine and tropical sections with varied flora and fauna in pleasant colors. IRSDC said it is also home to various aquatic animals such as the 2-foot, 2-1 / 2-foot and 3-foot alligator, stingrays, eels up to 3 1/2 feet, sharks, lobsters, snails and shrimp. The aquarium is adorned with natural rocks and splash of driftwood, artificial coral rocks.
