Love Is Blind star Amber Pike cried when her husband Matt Barnett surprised her with a cake and champagne for paying off her student loan.
Amber’s $ 20,000 student debt was a source of tension on the Netflix reality show that saw the couple get engaged without seeing each other in the flesh – then marrying.
She had worried Barnett by telling him that she hadn’t made regular repayments on his loan, leaving him stunned and worried.

On Wednesday, Barnett, 27, filmed Amber, 25, walking home loaded with parcels as he presented her with the cake he had personalized with yellow frosting.
“I bought you a party thing,” he said as she walked over to him.

They spoke to OprahMag.com, revealing that they are still planning to have a real wedding for their family and friends.
The couple are still going strong after filming the show in the fall of 2018, and now they’re ready to move on with their lives together.
“I still want to do the bridal showers and bachelorette parties – all the traditional Southern stuff that we skipped and rushed through,” Amber said.

They made it clear that this second marriage would take nothing away from the first marriage, which occurred 38 days after their first “meeting” in the pods.
“This will not resume our original marriage. It was a huge stepping stone for us, ”added Pike.
The series was filmed in October 2018, the contestants “meet” through modules, where they could hear but not see the next person.
After 10 days in the pods, the couples who agreed to get engaged met for the first time in person, with the engaged couples retiring with the weddings filmed in November.
