“Best of Pratt” Photography Contest
September 30 – Sponsored by the Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce, a contest for the “Best of Pratt”, high resolution photos, submissions needed for a new promotional brochure for the city! Women’s Conference at First Southern Baptist Church
October 1 – Join Pratt-area women in “Going Beyond Simulcast” and speaker Priscilla Shirer from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 1 at the FSBC, 193 NE Hwy. 61, Pratt. Doors open at 8 am, registration cost (accepted at the door) is $25; snacks, drinks and lunch provided.
6th Annual Hot and Cold Big Truck Show
October 1 – The Hot & Cold Big Rig Truck Show is presented by Southwest Truck Parts, Inc. Held Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. All profits are donated to local charities and associations. Welcoming all workers-

from all over the country. There will be a laser light show, kids zone, raffle prizes, free giveaway concert, fireworks, cornhole tournament and more.
Piano Recital with Duane Hanks and Grace May
October 3 – Come to the Pratt Public Library at 7 p.m. for a special Cultivator Arts performance featuring the piano talents of local musicians Duane Hanks and Grace May. Everyone is welcome to this free concert; next greeting.
Chapter Ninnescah of Pheasants and Quail Forever
October 6 – Celebrate the iconic ring-necked pheasant and northern bobwhite; the history, lore, and future of our Kansas highland birds at one of Kansas’ biggest conservation nights Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., Pratt County Fair Event Center. Evening plans include dinner plus a cash bar, auctions, raffles, and games to win guns and other great prizes — all to benefit local conservation, education, and community efforts. Kansas Upland Habitat Awareness! 100% of all fundraising dollars stay in the control of our Local to benefit our Habitat and Youth community!
Induction into the Greenback Hall of Fame
October 7 – You are invited to the Vernon Filley Art Museum at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 7 to help recognize four elite greenbacks. The 2022 inductees are Carter Barker, Raymond Immell, Tobin Melroy and Lt. Col. John Schwartz. Call Denise Loganbill (620-672-4540) to RSVP.
Pratt Jamboree 2022
October 7-8 – (Back to) Pratt Jamboree is almost here. Go online to our Facebook page for more information and to volunteer for this community event. The Community Center on North Main and the PCC Commons will be open for meetings on an ongoing basis on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If your class is considering using one of these spaces or is looking for a meeting place for a couple of hours, please call Stacy Hanson at 760.415.4383 to coordinate.
Pratt Jam and Sample Saturday
October 8 through Saturday, October 8 at 9 a.m. at Pratt Farmer’s Merchant and Market. While you’re enjoying the festivities Pratt Jam has to offer, stop by the Farmer’s Market and try some samples at participating vendors!
Cultivator Arts Front Porch Series
October 8 – This fall, join The Cultivator Arts as we support our local musicians for our Front Porch Concert Series! We are looking for musicians willing to play and/or sing on their own porch. There are no requirements for musicians, all talents are welcome! Play solo, in groups, in duos or in groups. All you need is to find a “porch” to play on. Bedroom Workshop with Tammy Wellbrook October 20 – The Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce and Credit Union of America are proud to bring chamber member Tammy Wellbrock back to Pratt for a workshop on October 20 at 1 p.m. at the Pratt Public Library!
Tree Wreath and Decoration Festival – Vernon Filley Art Museum
October 28 – Now is the time to start thinking about the Christmas festival and tree decorating entries for this annual event at Le Filley. Registrations due October 28 – selection date November 1. Delivery and installation on November 11 and 12.
Trick or Treat Trail!
Oct. 31 – Bring the costumed kids to Downtown Pratt – Monday, Oct. 31 from 3-5 p.m. for free candy, photo ops and lots of fun.
Lemon Park Light Installation
November 5-6 – Lemon Park is gearing up for this year’s lights! If you, your club or organization are interested in helping change the light bulbs in park sheds, please contact Deb Goyen or Ron Miller! The installation of the park will take place on November 5 and 6. There’s a lot to do until then!
